About Our Youth Group

Our Mission & Vision

Our vision and mission is to help connect people to faith

The vision of the ECFC Youth Group is found within Compassion, Christ, and Community. We want to reach out to our community in the compassion of Christ by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and meeting the natural needs around us first. We want to be plugged into the apartment complexes, high schools, neighborhoods, and businesses that surround us. In all our activities, Christ will be lifted as the reason for our love and care. Our hope is to establish a Christ-centered community where acceptance, significance, and security are found in Christ.

Purpose

The purpose of ECFC Youth Group is to provide students in the 7th grade and up to the end of college with an environment in which they can learn to love God and have a thriving relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is also our prayer and vision that the youth will be challenged to serve Jesus Christ and share this immeasurable love of Jesus with other youth, and the world at large as we like to be defined by the principle (Know, Love, and Serve). As this is the great commission, we have received from Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior.

Our Beliefs & Values

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Matthews 28:18-20

Relationship with God

This will be accomplished, through teaching and modeling of the Christian life that will lead the unsaved into a relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is the goal of the ECFC youth ministry program to teach and equip the youth with the essentials of Christian life so that by the time teens leave for college, they will have a thriving relationship with God that is their own.

Environment

By surrounding one with God-Fearing Christians, this person will learn how to have a deeper bond with God.

Service

The youth ministry program at ECFC will offer a wide variety of opportunities for teens to serve one another, the city, and other communities around the world. Serving together strengthens relationships with one another.

Equipping

The youth ministry teaches and will provide a model in teaching and lifestyle that will accurately reflect the Christian life in the process.

Bible Centered

It is the only source of Truth, and it’s our manual on how to live a life that is pleasing to God. One’s experience at ECFC Youth will always strive to show people that scripture is relevant to every aspect of their lives and apply God’s Word to their daily lives.
